Mpeople Recruitment are seeking an experienced HGV Driver on behalf of our reputable client based in Salford.Salary: £37,000 per annumHours: 40 hours per weekLocation: Manchester (working within a 20-mile radius)Valid HGV Class 1 (12 months at least required)Responsibilities would include:Safely operate HGV vehicles in accordance with all road traffic laws and company procedures.Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements promptly.Deliver and collect goods efficiently within a 20-mile radius of Manchester.Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time.Load and unload vehicles where required, ensuring goods are secured correctly for transport.Maintain accurate delivery records, vehicle documentation, and tachograph compliance.Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients and customers.Communicate effectively with the transport team regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or delays.Adhere to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.Keep vehicles clean, presentable, and roadworthy at all times.Represent the company professionally whilst on customer sites and public roads.The desired candidate would have the following experience:Valid HGV Class 1 (12 months or longer required)Previous HGV driving experience within a commercial transport environment.Good knowledge of road transport regulations and driver hours legislation.Strong commitment to health and safety procedures.Exc
