We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Junior SOC Analyst to join our existing experienced team.We are a small, thriving company based in Farnborough, delivering proofs of concept and high quality, focused IT consultancy. We are looking to recruit a Junior SOC Analyst to join us on fast moving, innovative and influential work that is underway in the Defence and Security Sector. You will have a challenging, vastly interesting, and technically diverse role.Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Monitoring of Systems for Security Alerts, Intrusions or activity considered to be unauthorised, unexpected or illegalResponding to incidents, utilising a catalogue of playbooksEscalation of complex incidents to Tier 2 Incident Response TeamsReview and develop existing security controls in line with a constantly growing technical environmentTriage and Review Vulnerability Scanning Reports, feeding results back into technical teamsReview Secure Configurations, feeding back into technical teams for remediations of issuesGenerate recurring service and security reports for key stakeholdersFeedback service improvement ideas to the SOC ManagerKeep up-to-date with the latest security threats and trendsResearch and develop understanding of security as a disciplineShifts throughout 24/7 SOC Service DeliveryExperience (Essential)

Relevant qualification(s) in Cyber Security, or other related technical rolesExamplesProfessional Qualifications from organisations such as CompTIA, ISACA etc.Technical qualifications in security and technology such as (but not limited to) cloud computing, SIEM, Vulnerability Scanning/Management etc.Experience (Nice to have)
