Early Years Assessor

Location: West London

Salary: -28,000 - -35,000 (Actual salary based on working hours)

Contract: Full-time, Term-time only (36 hours per week, 39 weeks per year)

About the Role

A further education provider in West London is seeking a dedicated Early Years Assessor to join its experienced vocational team. In this role, you will assess learners, including apprentices, to evaluate their occupational competencies across both the workplace and college environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess learners studying NCFE CACHE qualifications (Levels 1 and 2) and T Level Early Years Educator courses (including the Assisted Teaching Pathway).

• Conduct regular progress reviews and effectively track individual learner achievement.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with local employers to secure quality placement opportunities.

• Travel to employer premises across West London and surrounding areas to support workplace assessments.

Requirements:

• Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 NVQ/VRQ in Early Years or as a Teaching Assistant (a relevant degree is highly desirable).

• Assessor Qualification: Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA), TAQA, A1, or equivalent.

• Experience: Proven experience assessing in Early Years, alongside recent practical work experience spanning both early years education and care.

• Skills: Strong organisational, administrative, and IT capabilities.

• Mobility: Valid driving licence and access to personal transport for travel between employer sites.
