Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a successful engineering company based in Leicester.This is a permanent position with the hiring companyThe Job:You will be part of the Maintenance Team responsible for reactive and preventative maintenance of their machinesHours are: Mon-Thurs 6am-2.30pm and Friday 6am-11.30am - 37.5 hours per weekSalary: £35k per annumRole Responsibilities: Provide mechanical maintenance to a wide range of CNC and specialist machineryMechanical repairs to gearboxes, bearings, shafts, drive chains, pumps and tanksManage and resolve reactive breakdown repairs, reducing machine downtimes to a minimumAs required carry out major refurbishment of plant, equipment and machineryPLC fault finding and interrogationInvestigate reported faults, identify the cause and decide the necessary course of action to rectify the faultPlanned preventative maintenanceComply with legal requirements and to work within Company health and safety guidelines The Person: HNC or equivalent in Mechanical EngineeringMinimum 3 years experience in an Engineering environment which includes experience of fault-finding and repairing CNC multi-axis machines - ESSENTIALConversant with Fanuc and Siemens controlsConversant with present and emerging technology, up to date knowledge of equipment and techniques LEC01
