Summer-Browning Associates is currently supporting our defence client, who is seeking a Commercial Officer for an initial twelve-month assignment with the option to extend.Location: Hybrid working - Fareham or SalisburyAbout the role: You will be responsible for leading competitive or single source procurements and sourcing activities, including development of invitations to tender or negotiate, including complex contracts requiring non-standard pricing conditions or bespoke terms and conditions.The ideal candidate will hold Active SC or DV clearance and have a strong background in delivery Commercial support, with the following skills and experience:Experience across sourcing, procurement and contract management activities.Identifying the most suitable commercial approach to the circumstances.Understanding and applying tools to monitor supplier performance, cost analysis, and contract related management information systems.Research andamp; Development Category experience. (Desirable)
