Job Title: Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO)Location: Braintree, Essex Contract: Full-time Start Date: AprilSalary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)We are seeking a committed, knowledgeable, and passionate Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our supportive secondary school in Braintree. This is a key leadership role, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on the outcomes and wellbeing of students with special educational needs and disabilities.Key Responsibilities Include:Overseeing the day-to-day operation of SEND provisionCoordinating and reviewing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)Supporting and advising colleagues on inclusive teaching strategiesMonitoring the progress and wellbeing of students with SENDLiaising effectively with parents/carers and external professionalsThe Ideal Candidate Will:Be a qualified teacher with QTSHold the National Award for SEN Coordination (or be willing to complete it within the required timeframe)Have experience supporting students with SEND in a secondary school settingDemonstrate strong leadership, organisation, and communication skillsWe Offer:A welcoming and supportive school communityA dedicated and experienced inclusion teamStrong leadership support and opportunities for professional development
