We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for our client on the Wirral. The main duties of the Maintenance Engineer are:- To assist in the maintenance and repair of plant and machinery To assist in the maintenance and repair of the facility if by, nature and design, this falls within the remit of the Maintenance Manager To assist in carrying out routine inspections, condition reports indicating economical means of repair To assist in diagnosing machine breakdowns To assist in carrying out electrical, hydraulic or pneumatical repair work resulting from pro-active or reactive maintenance To assist in carrying out gas burning and welding as necessary To assist in liaising with machine manufacturer personnel in relation to the timely sourcing supply of parts, and equipment etc. To assist in the co-ordination of repairs and ordering/ receiving parts etc. To ensure the security of site as appropriate, to include maintaining workshops and storage in safe condition To assist in completion of all documentation including worksheets and inspection sheets as appropriate To assist in updating and maintaining accurate information on company IT maintenance systems To assist in liaising with sub-contractors to carry out work outside the scope of your job description The ideal applicant is a person who has basic electrical diagnostics experience, mechanical engineering experience and welding/fabrication experience.
