Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEN school based in Chatham that supports children with Autism / ASD. The school provides a supportive and nurturing environment focused on helping every pupil develop academically, socially and emotionally.

The school is looking to take on a Learning Support Assistant on a long-term basis. The successful Learning Support Assistant will support children with their learning, provide individualised classroom support and work closely with teaching staff to ensure pupils with ASD are engaged and supported throughout the school day.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs
• Experience supporting children with Autism / ASD
• A caring and nurturing approach
• Strong communication skills
• Patience and resilience
• A positive and supportive attitude
