We have an exciting opportunity for a HGV Fitter based in Luton for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis. Summary of the HGV Fitter role Salary: £15-£20ph DOE Location: Luton Workshop based, occasionally working outdoors or on-site during breakdowns Type of Contract: Permanent Hours: Monday Friday 8am-5pm Responsibilities of the HGV Fitter Carry out routine vehicle servicing, safety inspections, and preventative maintenance schedulesDiagnostics and fault findingRepair or replace worn, damaged, or broken partsMOT preparationsBreakdown supportLogging maintenance workFollow strict workplace safety procedures, risk assessments, and environmental standardsInvolves heavy lifting, working in tight spaces, and using specialised hand and power tools Requirements for a successful HGV Fitter NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle maintenance and repair (or a time-served equivalent) Practical workshop experience working on commercial vehicles, HGV s, or heavy plant machinery A full UK driving license (an HGV / LGV Class 1 or Class 2 driving licence is advantageous).
