Future Build Recruitment are working with a well-established civil engineering specialist who is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team. A strong civils background is essential, and experience in the water utilities sector is highly advantageous. Key Responsibilities Take full commercial responsibility for allocated projects, including monthly reporting. Manage and mentor junior commercial team members. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and the supply chain, including standard rate agreements. Prepare and submit accurate valuations, supported by site visits where required. Follow up on payments, keeping senior management informed of any issues. Price and agree project variations with clients and subcontractors, maintaining accurate records. Prepare contractual notices and administer subcontract conditions in line with company procedures. Ensure timely and fair resolution of client and subcontractor final accounts. Maintain organised commercial files, both electronic and hard copy. Support pre-construction activities alongside the bid and contracts teams. About You Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in a civils environment. Strong knowledge of commercial and contractual management principles. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Experience in water utilities desirable. Ability to manage multiple projects and mentor junior team members effectively.
