About the Role:
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons and encouraging student engagement with the curriculum
- Provide one-to-one or small group support for students requiring additional help
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, organised, and positive learning environment
- Observe and monitor student progress, actively participating in classroom activities
- Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to support both academic progress and student wellbeing
The ideal candidate will:
- Proven experience working with secondary school-aged students
- Patient, empathetic, and genuinely committed to supporting student learning and development
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive, respectful relationships with pupils and colleagues
- Adaptable and flexible, with the capacity to support a variety of classroom settings and teaching styles
- Possession of an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
