Position: Network Engineer Location: Wokingham (3 days onsite, 2 days from home) Day Rate: £460 p.d inside IR35 SC Clearance RequiredWe''re supporting a central government department seeking an experienced Network Engineer to deliver secure, reliable network services across a complex environment.Role Overview:Design, configure, and deploy LAN/WAN/WLAN/VPN solutions.Monitor and optimise network performance.Implement and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access controls.Maintain accurate network documentation and diagrams.Collaborate with IT teams and vendors on infrastructure projects.Perform hardware/software upgrades and patching.Respond to network outages and security incidents.Skills and Experience:Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP.Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar network hardware.Familiarity with firewalls and security appliances.Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios).Cloud networking exposure (AWS/Azure) is a plus.Relevant certifications (CCNP, Network+, or equivalent)To learn more, please do reach out to Tom Royston via email on
