Production Operative - Fish Factory (Grimsby, DN31 3AE)

Pay: -12.71 per hour

Hours: 6:00am - 3:00pm (day shift)

Contract: Temporary (temp-to-perm for the right candidates)

Overtime: Available on Saturdays (Optional)

PPE: Provided

We''re recruiting Production Operatives to join a busy fish production site in Grimsby (DN31 3AE). This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced factory environment, supporting the preparation and packaging of fish products to meet quality and hygiene standards.

The role

Duties may include:

• Preparing, trimming, grading and handling fish products
• Packaging products (tray sealing, bagging, boxing, vacuum packing where required)
• Labelling, weighing, date coding and checking packaging accuracy
• Ensuring finished goods are packed to specification and ready for dispatch
• Operating basic production machinery (training provided)
• Following food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Maintaining clean work areas to factory standards
• Working to targets in a chilled production environment

What we''re looking for

• Reliable and punctual, comfortable with 6am starts
• Able to work on your feet and complete repetitive tasks
• Comfortable working in a cold/chilled food production setting
• Good attention to detail for quality, hygiene and packaging checks
• Factory/food production/packing experience is beneficial but not essential
