RM Recruit are proud to be working with an empowering not-for-profit organisation based in Birmingham, who are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join their team on a part-time, 12-month contract basis. This role involves working 28 hours per week and there is scope for the position to become permanent. Our client can offer a flexible, hybrid working arrangement with the office presence at two days per week and the rest working from home. Key Responsibilities Preparing monthly sales invoices Banking cash and cheques received Processing monthly purchase invoices Support month-end and year-end financial processes, including reconciliations and journal entries Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls Provide administrative support to the finance team, including data entry and document management Liaise with suppliers, service providers, and internal teams regarding payments and queries Ensure timely and accurate input of financial data into accounting systems (e.g. Sage, QuickBooks, or similar) Person Specification Previous experience in a finance or accounting support role Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial software packages High attention to detail and strong organisational skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Strong written and verbal communication skills A proactive approach and the ability to manage competing priorities AAT qualification or similar (desir
