Job Title: EDM Machinist Location: Stroud, GloucestershireShift: Double Day shiftSalary: Competitive + Benefits My client is looking for a skilled EDM Machinist/Spark Eroder to set up and operate multiple EDM machines in line with the delivery requirements of the business, ensuring that products are produced efficiently; that they are of the right quality, quantity, and cost.Responsibilities Set the machines using the set-up sheets, tooling/fixtures and Edgecam programs provided by the Production Engineering Department. Work to the priorities of the Work to List or as Set Out by Production Supervision. Run the EDM/Wire machines in line with the programs and monitor performance to ensure the cycle time meets the estimated costed time given to the works traveler. Carry out cycle inspection of the parts produced, using micrometers, verniers and coordinate measuring machine reports. Where required the completion of an Actual Dimensional Report Sheet (ADRS) required for each part may need to be completed. Where changes are necessary, provide feedback to Production Engineering by completing a Program Prove Out Improvement Request when CNC Programs / Tooling / Set Up Sheets need correcting or can be improved. Ensure good and professional communication is maintained with your opposite shift machinist during shift handover.
