Senior Project Manager (Digital)
Location: London (2-3 days per week onsite)
Contract: Initial 6 Months
Rate: Up to £800 per day (Inside IR35)

Were looking for an experienced Senior Digital Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of large-scale, business-critical digital and IT transformation programmes within a complex, highly regulated environment.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of multiple high-profile initiatives, working with senior stakeholders, delivery partners and technical teams to deliver strategic change that has real organisational impact.

The Role:

You will be responsible for leading the full project lifecycle across multiple concurrent digital and IT programmes, ensuring successful delivery within agreed scope, budget, quality standards, and timelines. You will provide leadership to cross-functional delivery teams, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and ensure projects are executed in line with the highest governance, quality, and delivery standards. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead multiple complex IT and digital transformation projects from initiation through to successful delivery.
• Develop robust project plans, governance documentation, budgets and delivery roadmaps.
• Manage project scope, risks, issues, dependencies and change control.
• Coordinate cross-functional technical, business and supplier teams.
• Provide accurate programme reporting to senior leadership and governance boards.
• Drive supplier performance and ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Lead stakeholder engagement across business and technology functions.
• Ensure business readiness, testing, deployment and post-implementation support are effectively managed.
• Mentor and support Project Managers across the wider delivery function.
• Promote continuous improvement and delivery best practice.

Essential Experience:

• Extensive experience delivering large-scale IT and digital transformation projects.
• Strong background managing multiple concurrent projects valued up to £5m.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional and third-party delivery teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior leadership.
• Strong commercial and financial management experience, including forecasting and budget control.
• Demonstrable experience working within structured project governance frameworks.
• Excellent planning, risk management and delivery management skills.
• Strong understanding of enterprise IT, infrastructure, business applications and technology change.

Desirable:

• Experience within highly regulated industries such as infrastructure, engineering, utilities, energy, transport, financial services, healthcare or government.
• PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM, MSP or equivalent certification.
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
• Knowledge of ITIL and service transition principles.
