Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking a Family Time Worker to join a Childrens Services team within a Local Authority. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week. Overview: The successful candidate will support supervised family time between children and their family members while ensuring a safe, positive, and child centred environment. This role focuses on promoting high quality interactions, safeguarding children, and providing clear written observations to support ongoing care planning. Main Duties: Supervise family time sessions in a safe and supportive setting Record clear, objective observations to assist social work assessments Develop session plans that meet each child s individual needs Promote positive engagement and model appropriate parenting approaches Ensure the emotional and physical safety of children at all times Provide written reports to Social Workers in a timely manner Transport children to and from family time sessions when required Work closely with Social Workers, carers, and families to support care plans Escalate any safeguarding concerns in line with local procedures Support children to feel comfortable and listened to during sessions Essential Criteria: Relevant NVQ level 3 qualification, i.e. childcare, children and families, etc. Experience supporting children and families within a social care or community based setting Strong communication and observation skills Understanding of safeguarding procedures and child centred practice
