Head Chef - School 17.84 per hour, HG2, (Apply online only) Monday to Friday, Term Time Only, 28 days holiday, free on-site parking Do you have Head Chef experience within banqueting, contract catering or a similar high-volume catering environment? We are looking for an experienced Head Chef to join a large secondary school in the Harrogate area to cover a period of maternity leave. You will be providing a varied, seasonal and multicultural lunch service for around 1,200 pupils per day using fresh produce by:Leading and mentoring your team of kitchen porters, kitchen assistants, servers, bakers and chefsPreparing, cooking and serving high-quality foodWorking with the chef team to produce seasonal menusProviding training as requiredMaintaining food safety and hygiene standardsMonitoring and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislationAccurate and effective stock control and orderingLiaising with members of the school''s management teamOverseeing the day-to-day catering and cooking operation As the Head Chef you will have previous managerial experience in a high-volume catering environment and be able to run the kitchen in a positive and professional manner. This would be an ideal role for someone who has worked as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef or Executive Chef within conference and banqueting, contract catering, education catering or a similar catering environment and is looking for a Monday to Friday role.
