Commercial Manager

Location: London - Pier Walk / Hybrid
Rate: -529 per day Umbrella

We are recruiting for experienced Commercial Managers to join a number of teams within a major public sector organisation.

These opportunities cover a wide range of industries and commercial categories, with roles spanning procurement, professional services, infrastructure, engineering, technology, corporate services and more.

• Lead and manage commercial and procurement activities across complex programmes.
• Manage, lead and support commercial/procurement teams, providing direction, coaching and professional development.
• Allocate workloads, monitor performance and support the development of team members.
• Lead complex tenders, evaluations, negotiations and contract activity.
• Develop commercial and procurement strategies.
• Manage contracts, frameworks, suppliers, risk and change.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and suppliers.
• Provide commercial advice and support strategic decision-making.
• Drive best practice, continuous improvement and value for money.

We are looking for experienced Commercial Managers with proven team management and leadership experience, alongside strong commercial/procurement expertise.

You should have:

• Proven experience leading and managing teams within a commercial or procurement environment.
• Experience coaching, mentoring and developing team members.
• Strong commercial and/or procurement experience.
• Experience managing complex contracts, procurements or commercial programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Confidence working with senior stakeholders and providing commercial advice.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
• Public sector experience is highly desirable, although relevant private sector experience will also be considered.
• CIPS or another relevant professional qualification is desirable but not essential.
