Job Title: Storeperson / Warehouse Operative (Forklift Operator) Salary: £28k to start with the going to £30,600 after probation Location: Banbury Hours: Monday Friday 8am 5pm 30 days per year, inclusive of public holidays Main Purpose of the Role: To manage the safe receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while operating a forklift truck to move stock efficiently within the warehouse. Key Responsibilities: Receiving, unloading, and checking incoming deliveries Operating a forklift truck to move and store goods safely Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch Loading vehicles using appropriate handling equipment Carrying out stock checks and maintaining accurate inventory records Ensuring goods are stored correctly and safely Inspecting loads for damage or discrepancies Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment Following all health and safety procedures and site regulations Completing basic paperwork or using warehouse management systems Skills and Experience Required: Previous warehouse/storeperson experience (preferred) Valid forklift certificate (e.g. from RTITB, ITSSAR, or NPORS) Good attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Basic IT or stock control system knowledge (desirable) Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks Personal Qualities: Reliable and punctual Safety-conscious, especially when operating machinery Organised and methodical Positive attitude and willingness to learn Quali
