Our client, a respected multi-disciplinary practice with a strong reputation in the education, commercial and residential sectors, is looking for a Building Surveyor to join their growing Project Management team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid grounding in contract administration and project delivery to take on a varied, client-facing role where no two days are the same.
The successful candidate will be involved in projects from early feasibility through to completion, working alongside experienced Project Managers to deliver schemes to a high standard. Typical responsibilities will include preparing cost plans and tender documentation, developing funding applications, carrying out site visits, leading on contract administration, and managing projects through construction and final account stages.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level Building Surveyor looking to develop their skills in project management, work closely with clients and play a key part in the delivery of meaningful projects.
Key Aspects of the Role
- Managing projects through all stages, including pre-contract, construction and handover
- Preparing estimates, cost plans, specifications and tender packages
- Leading on contract administration and final account negotiations
- Conducting site inspections and reporting on progress
- Collaborating with clients, consultants and contractors to ensure successful outcomes
- 2–3 years’ experience as a Building Surveyor with contract administration exposure
