You will be complimenting existing security teams across the University Hospital Trust. This will be predominantly based across the Princess Royal and the Royal Sussex County Hospital. Or on occasion may be required to perform duties within all premises in University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust.You must be capable of protecting staff, patients and visitors and dealing with untoward incidents. Ideally you will have experience of dealing with the public in a customer orientated environment and be of a calm, sympathetic nature whilst maintaining an authoritative manner. Some control room duties will be required.In addition to the base rate of Pay, this role also attracts further enhancements of approximately £3000 to £4000 per year to account for night and weekend working.Main duties of the job

Essential requirements for this role are good communication skills, good understanding of written and spoken English, staying calm under pressure and being able to sustain lengthy periods of concentration.Full training will be provided but experience of working in Security in a Healthcare or Higher Education establishment would be advantageous.It is desirable for applicants to possess a full clean category B car driving license, preferably for a minimum of 2 years.
