Ensure the quality of the systems that power our client journey and business workflows. With proficiency in Playwright and Git, the successful candidate will play a key role in the development and enhancement of our proprietary software. You will be responsible for both high-level strategy development and hands-on work. The hands-on work will comprise both manual and automated testing.The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with non-technical members of the wider systems team and the business, and engage with external clients and stakeholders when necessary.Reports To:

Our knowledgeable sales team personally chats with our clients to matchmake them with the perfect villa. We then arrange everything that they need for their stay; including private chefs, experiences, boat trips, cooking courses, wine-tasting, and getting them into the places only locals know. The Engineering team builds all the tools that we need to make this as seamless as possible. Now we’re on a mission to prepare for the future.This is an exciting greenfield opportunity. We’re creating a Quality Assurance function within the Technology team for the very first time. The successful candidate will play a significant role in establishing the standards and practices of this function. The role will involve managing other quality assurance employees and contractors from time to time.Job AccountabilitiesDevelop a comprehensive QA strategy for the software development functionAs required, hire and manage quality assurance staff and contractorsImplement the QA strategy by writing test scripts, creating end to end tests, and collaborating with the rest of the Scrum team as well as stakeholdersEstablish and document comprehensive software quality assurance practices, procedures, and solutions, scaled appropriately to an SMETest developer output and work collaboratively with developers to investigate, analyse, document, and resolve defectsWork with developers to establish unit and feature testing best practicesEstablish, track, and report metrics relevant to software qualityAct as an ultimate point of escalation and resolution for software quality issues in the businessRecommend improvements in software to enhance user experienceDesign, develop, and maintain test automation scriptsContribute to story planning and the development of acceptance criteriaEngage with users and stakeholders to understand business objectives and requirementsKeep up-to-date with industry trends and best practicesRelentlessly blast through obstacles to get the job donePerson SpecificationDeep understanding of testing methodologies including UAT, system integration, and regression testingSolid knowledge of Playwright and GitExtensive experience designing and creating test automation scriptsManagement of defect tracking systems and testing frameworksAbility to communicate technical issues to technical and non-technical audiencesGood understanding of the Document Object ModelExperience with usability and accessibility testingNice to haveExperience with load and performance testingExperience using Jira and writing clear and comprehensive developer documentation in ConfluenceKnowledge of security testingExperience of CI/CD pipelinesYou love travel!Please still apply even if you don’t meet all the ‘nice to have’ criteria — we value diverse strengths and experiences.
