Overview

Electrical Engineering Manager role at NTT Global Data Centers. You will be part of Central Engineering and lead a group of Electrical Engineers. As subject matter experts, your team and you will be responsible for all electrical systems in your area of responsibility. You will be the interface to Data Center Operations, Design teams, OEMs, and customers. You will author and deploy Electrical Safety Rules, ensure high efficiency and reliability, and secure delivery to the highest standards. You will report to the Senior Electrical Engineer - EMEA.

What you will do

Responsible for the management and development in Electrical Engineering for UK and Western Europe (UK, Netherlands, Spain, France)

Manage, develop and expand the Electrical Engineering Team, including workload management

Ensure time management and quality delivery from different stakeholders

Maintain client-oriented stakeholder management, providing frequent updates to ensure continuous clarity

Conduct root-cause analysis and implement lessons learned to drive continuous improvement

Contribute to training development for electrical systems, ensuring adherence to company standards and regional requirements

Act as 2nd and 3rd level escalation for electrical and control issues

Develop and approve SOP/EOP, MOP, and EOP within the CAB process

Manage and write electrical safety rules for the area of responsibility, ensuring safety and harmonization with company standards

Collaborate with Design, External Consultants, and OEMs to enable effective solutions

What we are looking for

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

Proven leadership experience, managing a team of electrical engineers and apprentices

Experience leading a technical function in a mission-critical environment with strong customer focus

Extensive experience in Electrical engineering, maintenance, commissioning, and safety standards in Data Center or similar mission-critical sector

Previous experience as a High Voltage Authorising Engineer (HV AE)

In-depth knowledge of large-scale electrical systems (HV, LV, UPS, Standby Power), BMS/EMS and control systems

Proficiency in discrimination, short-circuit and arc flash studies is desirable

Proven track record of electrical optimization and efficiency improvements, preferably in Data Centers

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Ability to conduct root-cause analysis and implement lessons learned

Experience in developing and delivering training programs

Familiarity with SOP/EOP development and the CAB process

Ability to act as an escalation point for complex electrical and control issues

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement

CEng status or in progress to achieve

Fluent in English; additional languages relevant to the region (e.g., Dutch, Spanish, French, German) are a plus

Willingness to travel regularly nationally and internationally (up to 25%)

Ability to undergo full security checks to BS7858:2019
