TeacherActive is proud to be working with a Alternative provision in Nottingham who are looking to secure a Maths tutor on a temp to perm, full time basis.

5 days per week, 39 weeks per year. 8:30-4:30 (including unpaid break of 30 minutes) 
£25,000-£30,000 per year

The role will include high-quality teaching and learning in Maths, tailored to the needs of students aged 11–16.

Applicants should have good knowledge and experience of working with disaffected pupils in a school or other alternative setting. An passion for working with pupils with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties is an essential quality for this challenging but rewarding role.

The ideal Maths tutor will have:

• Previous experience as a Maths tutor or teacher

• A passion for teaching and mentoring students

• Strong knowledge of different approaches to teaching Maths

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to create engaging lesson plans and deliver effective instruction
