Head of Asset Performance and OptimisationEDF Power Solutions UK and Ireland is seeking a Head of Asset Performance and Optimisation to lead a team focused on analysing technical and energy market aspects of operational performance, managing generation settlements, subsidies and certificates, and developing strategy to optimise asset performance.

What You’ll Do

Lead the digitisation of performance and optimisation capabilities, turning data into insights to drive asset excellence.

Present findings to stakeholders, highlighting potential and actual commercial performance.

Support new asset onboarding, covering operational data, lease management, market arrangements (PPAs or subsidies), and customer relationships.

Produce and report on generation budgets and plans, and guide the team to expert knowledge of UK energy markets and regulations.

Manage energy market interactions, including revenue forecasting, ancillary services, and bidding strategies.

Maximise value from forward commitments such as corporate PPAs (cPPAs), hedges, and trading.

What You’ll Need

Solid experience in asset management with PandL responsibility; strong understanding of operations and maintenance.

Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of Renewable Certificates (ROC/REGO).

Understanding of National Grid ESO requirements and how they impact operational control of renewables.

Experience leading teams and championing new ways of working; ability to prioritise initiatives that align with long-term goals.

Curiosity, data analysis skills, and ability to communicate insights to a range of stakeholders; collaborative leadership style.

Digital savvy, especially in data management and analysis; passion for using technology to drive performance.
