The firm has ten UK offices in London (x3), Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Chester, Leicester Birmingham, and Stoke-on-Trent.They are seeking a skilled Financial Accountant, to join our growing finance team, to maintain our financial records and ensure compliance with accounting regulations.Responsibilities

Managing and maintaining financial records, including general ledger accounts and financial statementsReviewing financial documents and transactions to ensure accuracy and compliancePerforming financial analysis and reporting to support business decisionsPreparing and reviewing annual/quarterly forecasts and financial reportsDeveloping and implementing economic policies and procedures in the companyProviding timely financial information to support decision-making processesContributing to the overall financial health and stability of the organisationPrepare and present statements, such as balance sheets, income and cash flow.Perform monthly and annual financial closing activities.Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and studying account information.Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances and opportunities for improvement and provide insights to management for decision-making.Manage treasury payment issues where applicable, including domestic and foreign payments.Ensure that the organisation complies with all financial regulations, including tax laws, accounting standards and reporting requirements.Assist in the financial set up of new overseas offices and liaise with accountants in those countries to ensure all local regulations are complied withCandidate Profile

Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is preferred or QBE4+ years of experience in accounting or financeGood technical knowledge in tax and accountingStrong understanding of accounting principles, practices and proceduresProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis and reportingAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentEffective communication and interpersonal skillsExperience in financial analysis and forecastingKnowledge of accounting software such as XeroExperience in a multinational or cross-cultural work environmentKnowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)Great organisational and time management skillsIt is Career Legal’s policy, as a matter of courtesy, to respond to all applications within three working days.
