Job Overview Smart Surfacing Solutions Ltd are looking for an experienced groundworker and tarmac surfacing operative to join our team working across London and the South East. We carry out a range of works including car parks, private roads, patching, driveways, and small commercial projects. The role involves all aspects of surfacing including preparation works, levels, kerbing and edgings, laying and raking tarmac, and working as part of a gang on both commercial and private jobs. We run organised sites and expect a good standard of work, reliability, and a professional attitude on site. The role includes: • Preparing and grading sub-bases • Raking and finishing asphalt to a high standard • Working with rollers and small plant • Edging, levels, and general surfacing works • Assisting with site setup and keeping jobs organised • Reliable and able to work as part of a small team • CSCS preferred • Driving licence essential HGV C1+E preferred but NOT essential.
