Job Title: SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: BromleyAbout the RoleAcademics are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in a specialist provision in Bromley, supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will provide 1:1 and group support to help students access the curriculum, engage in learning, and develop confidence and resilience in a structured, nurturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport students with SEMH needs in accessing academic lessonsWork 1:1 or in small groups to deliver tailored learning activitiesEncourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation in line with provision policiesBuild strong, trusting relationships with studentsAdapt learning resources to meet individual needsWork collaboratively with teachers and support staffMaintain accurate records of student progress and report as requiredEssential RequirementsExperience supporting children or young people with SEMH needsStrong understanding of behaviour management strategiesAbility to motivate, engage and encourage students in learningEmpathetic, patient, and resilient approachGood communication and teamwork skillsRight to work in the UK
