Location: Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey
Salary: £26,000 – £34,000 per annum (negotiable, dependant on experience)

Job Profile
As the successful Electro-Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for building, testing, and upgrading electro-mechanical assemblies to precise specifications. You will use a combination of technical drawings and SOPs to deliver high-quality assemblies while supporting continuous improvement across production. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to contribute to the overall success of a small, collaborative team.
Duties:
- Assemble electro-mechanical products to drawings and SOPs
- Use hand tools and measuring equipment (e.g., torque drivers, micrometres, and verniers)
- Perform secondary processes such as drilling, tapping, reaming, countersinking, filing, lapping, and lubrication
- Connect cables and wires according to specifications
- Conduct inspections and functional testing on finished assemblies
- Complete all documentation accurately and maintain traceability records
- Participate in continuous improvement and 5S activities to enhance quality and output
- Assist colleagues and provide technical support where required, including training aligned with skills matrices
- Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and visiting stakeholders when required
- Adhere to all safety and PPE requirements while supporting production targets
Skills & Attributes:
- Ability to read and understand drawings and SOPs
- Hands-on experience in electro-mechanical assembly (desirable)
- Familiarity with mechanical and electrical components
- Attention to detail and methodical approach to work
- Soldering skills on small components desirable
- Ability to use small assembly tools and manual measuring equipment
- Experience with small component assembly (e.g., model kits) advantageous
- Good time management and ability to handle pressure
- Team player with strong communication skills at all levels
- Self-motivated, professional, and adaptable
- Basic IT skills
Education / Certificates:
- Formal engineering or assembly training desirable but not essential; relevant experience equally considered
Hours of Work:
- 37.5 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 16:00 or 08:00 – 16:30
- Friday: 07:30 – 13:00 or 08:00 – 13:30
- Overtime available and paid at x1.5hrs and x11hrs Sundays
