We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer with ECandI / Electrical experience to support a major defence project at a secure, highly regulated site near Reading. This is a mid level role; site-based, requiring a high level of technical expertise, and experience in commissioning, testing, and assurance of electrical and control systems within safety-critical environments. Role: Commissioning Engineer - ECandI bias Location: Reading (site-based) Salary: £46,000 to £65,000 (Based on year''s experience) Key Responsibilities Support projects with commissioning, testing, and validation of electrical and ECandI systems on a complex defence project and on occasion provide mentorship to junior commissioning engineers and site teams. Develop and support with commissioning strategies, test procedures, and method statements, alongside performing functional testing, fault finding, and troubleshooting of complex electrical and control systems. Ensure all commissioning activities comply with project requirements, CDM regulations, and site safety procedures. Produce when required technical reports, test records, and handover documentation and lead technical reviews, progress meetings, and commissioning coordination sessions. Essential Experience and Skills Proven experience as a ECandI Commissioning Engineer role within a highly regulated industry (defence, nuclear, petrochemical, utilities, or similar) Strong technical knowledge of electrical and control system commissioni
