ROLE- Mechanical Design Engineer (HVAC)LOCATION- RochdaleTERM- PermanentSALARY- 40,000 - 50,000, dependent on experience My client manufactures bespoke engineering solutions for industrial applications. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar3 or more years of industry experience working in a manufacturing environmentIdeally have some experience in a process industry within HVAC and Building services Knowledge and experience with Engineering consultancy, construction validation commissioning and designStrong knowledge and proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD or similarExperience supervising others or managing teams would be idealKnowledge of the RIBA stagesGood theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerancesHave excellent communication skills with experience in a customer-facing roleBe a flexible team-playerHave the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawingsLiaising with manufacturing providersCompleting designs, specifications and drawings around, air ventilation, heating/cooling, building management systesmCreating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plan
