We are currently recruiting for an organised and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to join a busy finance team based in Sutton Coldfield. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity, working Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, with the role being fully office-based every day. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable professional to support the day-to-day running of the finance function while playing a key role in the transition to SAP S/4HANA. Working closely with the Accounts Payable Manager and wider finance team, you will be responsible for supplier invoice processing, payments, reconciliations and query resolution, alongside supporting system testing and supplier data migration activities. The ideal candidate will have previous Accounts Payable experience, excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to resolving queries and discrepancies. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable Process supplier invoices accurately and within agreed deadlines, ensuring correct coding and appropriate authorisation. Manage supplier payments in line with agreed payment terms and internal procedures. Complete supplier account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies. Proactively follow up on aged reconciling items to ensure timely resolution. Liaise with suppliers, store administration teams and internal departments to resolve queries and discrepancies.
