Lead Firmware Engineer Location: Wiltshire - Site-based Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum (DOE, negotiable) Hours: 36 hours per week About the Role An established engineering and technology business is seeking an experienced Lead Firmware Engineer to take technical ownership of embedded software development for a range of electronic products. This is a hands-on engineering position offering the opportunity to lead firmware architecture, development, integration and testing, while working alongside a multidisciplinary product development team. You will play a key role in delivering reliable, secure and maintainable embedded software, from initial design and development through to product launch and ongoing improvement. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development and integration of embedded firmware and graphical user interfaces. Develop and maintain embedded software for ARM-based microcontrollers, particularly STM32 devices. Define software architecture and ensure effective integration between firmware, hardware and user interfaces. Develop software for device control, data processing, communications and system functionality. Design and integrate embedded graphical user interfaces, including display and touchscreen functionality. Manage software requirements, technical documentation, verification and controlled releases.
