Vehicle Technician Required, in West Bromwich

Our client, a well-established independent garage in West Bromwich, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their busy team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Vehicle Technician looking to further their career within a reputable family-run business that values quality service and technical expertise. The position offers the potential to earn up to £52,000 OTE, with a competitive basic salary plus bonus and overtime.

Benefits: 

• Basic salary of £40,000, with bonus and overtime opportunities increasing earnings to approximately £52,000.
• 42.5-hour working week from 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, plus alternate Saturday mornings.

Duties:

• Carrying out all aspects of light vehicle diagnostics, servicing, repairs, and maintenance to a high standard
• Conduct MOT tests, wheel alignments, brake repairs, air conditioning services, clutches, engine repairs, timing belts, gearboxes, and other mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Diagnose complex technical issues efficiently and accurately
• Ensure repairs are completed within specified timeframes and to manufacturer standards
• Maintain thorough documentation and communicate effectively with team members and customers
• Support less experienced technicians when necessary to uphold workshop standards

Requirements as a Vehicle Technician: 

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within a workshop environment
• Strong diagnostic skills across a range of vehicle makes and models
• Confident in all aspects of light vehicle repair and servicing as a Vehicle Technician
• MOT licence is desirable but not essential
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Motivated with a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail
