Job Responsibilities
- Lead on-site delivery of installation, reactive maintenance, and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities across the Scottish region.
- Take charge of a two-person crew, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
- Set the standard for safe working practices, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Manage site operations, including overseeing the use of tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Coordinate with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders professionally and effectively.
- Maintain accurate administration and reporting of site activities, including PPM documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with project specifications and company standards.
- Support the growth of the regional operations by maintaining consistency and quality on the ground.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Full clean UK driving licence is essential.
- Practical and mechanical skills, including confident use of power tools and associated equipment.
- Experience in construction, highways, street furniture installation, or similar site-based work.
- Sound knowledge of health & safety requirements and safe working practices.
- Ability to take charge on site and make sensible, informed decisions independently.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with clients and local authorities.
- Proven organisational skills and attention to detail in reporting and administration.
- Desirable: Experience in cycle parking, street furniture, or related infrastructure projects.
- Desirable: SSSTS or SMSTS qualification, CSCS card, First Aid certification.
- Familiarity with PPM documentation and maintenance reporting systems.
Work Details
- Full-time, permanent position.
- Based in Scotland, our client is ideally looking for a candidate around the Glasgow area, with regular travel across the region to installation and maintenance sites.
- Occasional travel to other UK regions may be required.
- Company-provided PPE, training, and a vehicle for work purposes.
