Field Operations Lead - Central Scotland, UK

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead on-site delivery of installation, reactive maintenance, and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities across the Scottish region.
  • Take charge of a two-person crew, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Set the standard for safe working practices, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Manage site operations, including overseeing the use of tools, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Coordinate with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders professionally and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate administration and reporting of site activities, including PPM documentation.
  • Ensure all work complies with project specifications and company standards.
  • Support the growth of the regional operations by maintaining consistency and quality on the ground.



Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Full clean UK driving licence is essential.
  • Practical and mechanical skills, including confident use of power tools and associated equipment.
  • Experience in construction, highways, street furniture installation, or similar site-based work.
  • Sound knowledge of health & safety requirements and safe working practices.
  • Ability to take charge on site and make sensible, informed decisions independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with clients and local authorities.
  • Proven organisational skills and attention to detail in reporting and administration.
  • Desirable: Experience in cycle parking, street furniture, or related infrastructure projects.
  • Desirable: SSSTS or SMSTS qualification, CSCS card, First Aid certification.
  • Familiarity with PPM documentation and maintenance reporting systems.



Work Details

  • Full-time, permanent position.
  • Based in Scotland, our client is ideally looking for a candidate around the Glasgow area, with regular travel across the region to installation and maintenance sites.
  • Occasional travel to other UK regions may be required.
  • Company-provided PPE, training, and a vehicle for work purposes.
