We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor based in Exeter. The business has a growing presence in the South West, undertaking projects across the healthcare, education, extra care, and commercial sectors valuing up to £85mil. They have won a place on various local and government frameworks and projects are administered via a mix of JCT and NEC forms of contract.About this Senior Quantity Surveyor role:

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through to final account. You will be responsible for a junior Surveyor who will be managing sub-contract packages and you will report into the Commercial Manager.Key Responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor:

Work alongside the pre-construction team through 2nd stage tendersManage sub-contract procurementManage sub-contractors accounts on site, dealing with variationsManage monthly valuations and liaise with the clientDeal with final accountsMentor junior members of the Surveying team and be involved in their professional developmentKey Requirements for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role:

Be educated to HNC / Degree levelHave a proven track record of managing projects from pre-construction through to final accountHave experience managing projects valuing up to £30milBe well versed in administering JCT and NEC forms of contract (framework experience is beneficial)Have the full right to work in the UK and be happy to commute to office (in Exeter) and site as required.This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a busy contractor with ambitious growth plans for the region and a diverse project pipeline to work on.
