Your day-to-day role will involve coordinating actuarial calculations with the junior teams on your clients, reviewing these calculations along with the associated advice.At consultant level, you are expected to take ownership of workstreams with support from senior members of the team.You’ll be encouraged to attend client meetings to help develop your consulting skills; your client list will enable you to have the opportunity to not only attend but also present at these meetings alongside senior team members.You will also have the opportunity to attend industry networking events, playing a key role in organizing events.You’ll be a qualified actuary with at least 4 years’ experience working in the UK pensions actuarial consulting environment.Excellent UK pensions technical knowledge – able to review core technical work such as actuarial valuation and member options calculations and pensions accounting; experience of GMP equalization is helpful (but not essential).Ability to propose your own ideas on ways to approach complex calculations.Good commercial awareness with the ability to consider agreed budgets when carrying out work.
