The Opportunity

We''re working with a leading M&E contractor delivering some of London''s most prestigious commercial fit-out projects. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they''re looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to oversee the successful delivery of high-value CAT A & CAT B office fit-outs across Central London.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business renowned for delivering technically challenging projects to blue-chip clients, with clear opportunities to progress into Senior Management.

The Role

As Mechanical Construction Manager, you''ll take ownership of the mechanical installation on fast-paced commercial fit-out schemes, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

You''ll work closely with the Project Manager, Design Team, Commercial Team and subcontractors, coordinating site activities from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical installation works across multiple commercial fit-out projects.
• Coordinate mechanical subcontractors and direct labour on site.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with programme and project specifications.
• Lead daily site coordination meetings and liaise with principal contractors and client teams.
• Monitor quality, productivity and programme performance.
• Carry out inspections and ensure all works meet required standards.
• Manage health & safety compliance and maintain a safe working environment.
• Review drawings and identify potential design or coordination issues.
• Support commissioning activities and project handovers.
• Produce progress reports and attend client meetings.

About You

We''re looking for someone with proven experience delivering commercial building services projects who enjoys taking ownership on site.

You''ll ideally have:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager or Mechanical Site Manager.
• Strong background delivering CAT A & CAT B commercial office fit-out projects.
• Experience managing mechanical packages from first fix through to commissioning.
• Excellent knowledge of HVAC, pipework and public health installations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and maintain programme.
• SMSTS.
• CSCS Card.
• First Aid (desirable).
