Contek Recruitment are currently recruiting for a skilled Metal Worker to join our clients small, family-run team, based in central Birmingham. This is a permanent position, and is full-time. You''ll manufacture custom-made architectural metalwork solutions, including: Shopfronts Canopies Staircases Balustrades Gates/Railings Other bespoke metal structures You''ll work with a variety of materials and machinery to meet specific client requirements. including: Brass Bronze Aluminium Stainless and mild steel (Up to 6mm thick) Duties: Using bandsaws and table saws. Using pedestrial drills. Using various different hand tools and power tools. Reading engineering drawings. Person Requirements: Previous metalwork experience is required. Previous welding experience is preffered but not required. Ability to read detailed Engineering drawings. Great communication skills. Positive attitude and outlook on work. Good attention to detail.
