About the RoleWe are currently recruiting a hard-working and dependable general labourer for an ongoing contract role on a major commercial development in York.Key ResponsibilitiesAssisting sub-contractors and site trades with moving and distributing building materials, tools, and equipment across site levels.Keeping site access routes, compounds, welfare facilities, and work zones clean, safe, and organised.Clearing commercial construction waste, packaging, and debris, and managing skips.Assisting the site team with unloading, checking, and safely storing incoming material deliveries.Carrying out general manual handling and physical labour duties as directed by the Site Manager.Role RequirementsValid CSCS Card (Essential).Proven experience working as a labourer on commercial construction or fit-out sites.Full 5-point PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, steel toe cap boots, safety gloves, safety glasses).Strong work ethic, reliable timekeeping, and a proactive, safety-conscious attitude.Solid awareness of site health and safety standards around plant, access routes, and working trades.Based in or easily commutable to York (Clifton Moor, City Centre, Monks Cross, or surrounding North Yorkshire areas).How to ApplyIf you hold a valid CSCS card and are looking for steady, ongoing commercial contract work in York, we want to hear from you.
