About the Role: My client are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator to join their team, specialising in the estimation and costing of educational refurbishment projects. You will be working on projects with values up to £10 million, ensuring that costs are accurately forecasted and managed throughout the lifecycle of each project. This role offers the opportunity to work on various educational buildings, contributing to creating safe, modern, and efficient learning environments. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates for educational refurbishment projects, including materials, labour, and other project-related costs. Conduct comprehensive analysis of project specifications, drawings, and documents to accurately assess project scope and prepare budgets. Monitor project costs and ensure that estimates are in line with client budgets and project requirements. Lead the preparation of tender submissions, ensuring all pricing and documentation is accurate and competitive. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotes for materials and services Review and assess contractor tenders, ensuring compliance with project requirements and contractual obligations. Identify potential cost risks early in the project and implement risk management strategies. Apply value engineering principles to find cost-effective solutions without compromising the quality or specifications of educational refurbishment works.
