We are recruiting for a Support Worker to join the support team of a young man with a brain injury living with his family in the Dewsbury area. Hours: 20 hours per week Contract: Permanent Salary: £13.46 per hour weekdays / £14.49 per hour weekends Shifts: 2 x10 hour shifts per week 8.00am - 6.00pm on a rota basis, including every other Saturday. CCMS Ltd - Who we are: We offer a bespoke Case Management Service for people of all ages, with a particular emphasis on those recovering from acquired brain injuries The Support Worker Role: Support and contribute towards the planning and delivery of individual care, supporting in all aspects of daily living, as our client has physical, sensory and cognitive disabilities and is wheelchair dependent. This position will come with a degree of flexible working to support the pursuit of interests in live music, extra shifts and the cover of staff sickness and annual leave. Work with a treatment team of therapists (SALT, Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist) to complete therapy programmes, motivate and engage the client in recreational and educational activities. Experience in delivering therapy programmes is desirable but full training will be provided. Experience of working with young adults with physical and cognitive impairment is essential. The position is suited to someone who has a positive attitude plus the ability to motivate and engage. The young man is a music enthusiast, loves comedy and likes to go out for food. Someone
