Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: West Sussex
Salary: -75,000 - -95,000 + package

A leading UK contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its team on a landmark education scheme in West Sussex, comprising a combination of new build and extensive refurbishment works worth -45m.

This is a key commercial role on a high-profile school project delivered within a live environment, offering the opportunity to take ownership of significant packages and contribute to successful project delivery from pre-construction through to final account.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of the project, including:

• Leading the day-to-day commercial activities across multiple work packages
• Procurement and subcontractor management
• Cost planning, forecasting, and reporting
• Managing valuations, variations, and change control
• Supporting risk management and value engineering initiatives
• Working closely with operational teams and client representatives
• Ensuring compliance with contractual and framework requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor on medium to large-scale construction projects
• Strong background in education sector projects (schools)
• Experience working within the public sector and framework environments
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects involving both new build and complex refurbishment
• Excellent commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills
• Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• Membership of or working towards RICS (desirable)
