Mechanical Design Engineer – WaterLeading contractor working on long–term Thames Water and Southern Water projectsExcellent opportunity for further progression and career developmentSSA are currently recruiting for a leading Civil Engineering and Utilities contractor who are looking to add a Mechanical Design Engineer to their successful MEICA team, working as part of their AMP8 frameworks for Thames Water and Southern Water.The role will involve:Production of mechanical detailed design submissionsWorking with design teams in the production of design and construction drawings and documentationLiasing with civil, electrical, process and operations teamsProducing design deliverables including, but not limited to, PandIDs, hydraulic calculations, pipework layouts, pipework schedules, PandE schedules, Pipe supports/thrust design, Mechanical GAs and layoutsReviewing technical submissionsMaintaining design input throughout project lifecycle, from initial feasbility thorugh to outline and detailed design, and construction/handover.Attending site meetingsThey can offer a strong salary and package, further professional development (MEng/Chartership etc), opportunities for progression within the business, and long–term projects (5 years+) in the region.Essential:Degree / HNC / HND in Mechanical EngineeringClean/Wastewater experience (beneficial)
