Overview

Lead Mechanical Operator – Slough. 4 on 4 off pattern (2 day, 2 nights, 4 off) with 12 hour shifts. Permanent role in a hot food restaurant environment as part of Mars.Salary: From £40,000 - £48,000 (inclusive of shift allowance) dependent on experience. Welcome bonus: £2,000. Take the lead for first line maintenance of several production machines including operational decisions to achieve targetsIdentify and repair mechanical breakdowns on various machineryBe accountable for the performance of several machines, processes, or pieces of equipmentUse diagnostic tools and methods to identify root causes of problemsCoordinate a small team of operators and temporary associates to achieve line targetsAssist operators with daily production tasks to ensure line targets are metWhat we are looking for

Minimum 1 year\''s experience managing and coordinating operatorsSkilled in diagnosing mechanical issues through systematic troubleshooting techniquesProficient in taking apart machinery to understand components and functionality, and reassembling it to ensure optimal operationKeen eye for detail essential for identifying faults or inefficiencies in machineryCommitment to ongoing improvement, including suggesting modifications to machinery or processes to enhance efficiency, safety, or performanceAbility to work effectively in teams, sharing insights and collaborating to implement improvementsWhat to expect from Mars
