Senior Accountant

to join our Controllership team on a

Fixed-Term Contract basis until July 2026 . Reporting into our Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the accounting and reporting of EMEA Disney Stores, Parks and Resorts and Shared Functions business activities, covering quarterly accounting and reporting of the PandL and balance sheets, balance sheet reconciliations, and stakeholder management partnering with local Finance, Mumbai Controllership and Compliance teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with US GAAP. You will work across multiple LOBs. You will also lead a team on entity liquidation / SAP company code deactivation, assist with quarterly EMEA Consolidated Balance Sheet reporting to Senior Management, and support projects and process improvements (e.g. FOH testing, COBA deactivations, Deferred Income FOH Reconciliations, Alteryx).This is an office-based role: 4 days in the Hammersmith, London office with 1 day working from home (Monday or Friday).What You Will DoWork with the Studio Manager in the overall preparation of quarterly accounts, including coordination of all schedules, reconciliations and reporting packages for review by Senior managementPrepare financial reports such as income statement and balance sheet flux schedules for end users including the US parentEnsure all reporting packages are submitted accurately and timely on a monthly and quarterly basisPrepare for and present at quarterly country close meetings for specific territoriesComplete balance sheet reconciliations for reviewPrepare various business reports on a timely basis with accurate commentary and follow-up on variancesSupport management and wider finance team on ad-hoc dutiesIdentify and drive process improvements to maintain high service standards in a more efficient mannerEnsure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and Disney Minimum Control StandardsRequired Qualifications and SkillsAn experienced and qualified Accountant (ACA/ ACCA / CIMA)Strong interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships across all levels of the organizationAbility to work under pressure with shifting prioritiesExcellent communication skills with ability to provide rationale and context to drive commitment and convey information clearlyResults-driven with ability to translate strategy into priorities and action plansProven ability to manage projects, processes and resources with accountability for high performanceFacilitates exchange of ideas and creation of new ones; transfers ideas across boundaries; pursues excellence with integrity, passion and courageSets a good example and demonstrates consistency in words and actionsExperience with SAP is preferredThe Perks25 days annual leavePrivate medical insurance and dental careFree Park Entry for you and your family/friendsDisney Discounts on products, resort FandB and ticketingExcellent parental and guardian leaveEmployee Resource Groups – WOMEN @ Disney, Disney DIVERSITY, Disney PRIDE, ENABLED, and our Mental Health and Wellbeing Group, TRUSTThe Walt Disney Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
