Quality Manager - Precision Engineering Location: Southend-on-Sea Hours: Monday to Friday, Day Shift Salary: Competitive, DOE (Depending on Experience)About the RoleWe are currently recruiting for a Quality Manager to join our client, a highly respected precision engineering company based in Southend-on-Sea. Specialising in the production of very small, high-precision components for sectors including aerospace, automotive (Formula 1), and medical, this is an exciting opportunity to lead quality operations in a cutting-edge environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a small team of 2 quality professionals.Oversee all aspects of quality assurance and control across production.Develop, implement, and maintain the company''s Quality Management System (QMS).Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with ISO standards.Program and operate CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) for precision inspection.Analyse quality data and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).Liaise with customers and suppliers regarding quality issues and improvements.Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean and Six Sigma methodologies.Requirements Proven experience in a Quality Management role within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of CMM programming and metrology tools. Excellent leadership and team management skills. In-depth understanding of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
