Electrical Design Engineer – LeicestershireSalary: GBP42,000 – 50,000Working hours: 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday (Flexible hours late start/early finish)The Company

Our client is a leading manufacturer of cooling systems in the UK used within Laboratories, high end laser cutting machines, and semiconductor manufacturing facilities. They employ around 30 staff across their onsite manufacturing facility including engineers and back-office support. They are owned by a larger group with a revenue of GBP68 Million. They are expanding their premises and acquiring an additional business, so they are growing the team to handle additional workload and increase efficiency. They are looking for an engineer to join the team and become the "go to" engineer for electrical design, research and development.The Role

We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to support the team with Electrical expertise. As the Primary Electrical expert, you will report directly to the Engineering Manager. You will advise on electrical drawings, create new electrical schematics, and update outdated designs. You will be involved in hands-on testing, creating test reports, and ensuring compliance with design standards.Responsibilities

Advising on electrical drawings and redesigning product ranges50% Electrical design, 20% electrical testing and 30% electrical documentation/administrationCreating and updating electrical schematicsHands-on testing with test rigs and creating test reportsSpecifying componentsEnsuring design complianceQualifications and experience

Degree/HND level or equivalent qualification in an Electrical Engineering3+ years'' experience in a similar positionExperienced with AutoCAD Electrical or similar packagePrevious experience with electrical testingGood communicator with a positive ''can–do'' attitudeIndependent and confident in your abilitiesBenefits
