About the role:

Join a global logistics provider who are seeking a technical and sales individual to support clients in the Renewables sectors. As a Buyer, you’ll advise on suitable products, prepare quotes and tenders, and negotiate with suppliers on both technical and commercial terms. Over time, you’ll become a key contact for client inquiries related to quotes and purchase orders.

Key responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and suppliers within the industry.
  • Analyse client requests and projects from a technical perspective to assess feasibility and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Review and challenge supplier quotes to ensure alignment with client requirements and industry standards.
  • Negotiating supplier contract terms to secure favourable agreements for the organisation.
  • Ensuring technical support is provided to both clients and suppliers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues effectively.
  • Achieve sales targets by promoting relevant products and services to clients.
  • Coordinate with internal teams including sales, accounts, warehouse, and management to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
  • Follow client-specific processes and procedures to ensure compliance with quality and operational standards.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities efficiently.
  • High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in quotations, contracts, and documentation.
  • Confident and professional telephone manner when communicating with clients and suppliers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Proven ability to handle a demanding workload while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear and effective interactions.
  • Collaborative team player who works well across departments to support shared goals.
  • Resilient and determined, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges and achieving results.
